Recessionary Pressure and Real Property

We are in a down market, and by various indicators, at least recessionary in nature. It is during these times that clients panic about investments and their real property assets. Statistics consistently show that clients lose equity and money by selling in these down markets.

Various alternatives are available: reverse mortgages, refinancing and lease options all have the potential of weathering difficult economic times for our clients. Additionally, new bankruptcy laws provide 'homestead exemptions' for clients to retain some of their assets, including their family homes, while seeking the legal relief offered in bankruptcy court.
